I've been looking at lots of locations lately, and often take pictures just to get a feel of the place. My husband always tell me that my landscapes are not the greatest, and it's probably because I haven't spent as much time developing my skills as a landscape photographer than as a portrait photographer. One day maybe . . . . Back to location scouting. These photographs were taken at Garvey Park in Western Australia. What appealed to me was the typical good old Aussie trees, massive, knarled and bare - I love them.

This post far away from photography and more about cooking. I love watching cooking shows and imagine myself cooking all the time, if I actually have the time. Anyway, I watched Indian Food made easy on Foxtel, and just loved the simplicity of her recipe's - so I went to a local Indian supermarket, and bought some fabulous spices and the spice holder, and started cooking up a storm on Sunday evening. We made a Beef Madras, Avial, Fried Okra (my favorite) and a sweet Benghal Lentil Curry. Note the beer in the picture - always essential when cooking.
Yummy! Now back to work -
Emma + Julien (they're nearly done!)
Fiona (so many gorgeous one's of your family - can I have them back to do it all over again, it was so much fun! We will just have to fly out your daughter again!)
Helen + Barry (boys boys boys: sneak peak coming soon)

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
In March, 1998 I was still on my year long honeymoon with my gorgeous husband and we were in Arizona battling blizzards at the Grand Canyon, tanning in Tuscon and gamboling in Las Vegas - absolutely brilliant!
2.Things On My To Do list
- Start a Pilates class (been on the list for a while!)
- Organise my office (sometimes it just all piles up!)
- A new website must be done
- Put some beautiful pictures on the wall of my children
3. Bad Habits
- I forget where I put things down (how many camera lens covers have I gone through?)
- I'm a tiny bit disorganised (or I could be called a free spirit!)
- I always have far to many projects on the go (which of course is a problem when you are a teeny bit disorganised! + a free spirit!)
4. Places I have Lived
- USA (born there of American parents)
- Germany (sister born there)
- Greece (broke my arm there)
- Zimbabwe and South Africa (brother born in Zim)
- Saudi Araba
- London
- Perth and Bunbury, Western Australia
5. Things Most People Don’t Know About Me
- I had wanted to be a photojournalist and cover wars from the age of about 15 (thank god that never happened - those guys just seem to end up as targets)
- I absolutely adore historical movies and novels, and have a big collection of Amanda Quick & Judith McNaught (the primo historical novelists!)
- I am a chocaholic and try not to have choclate in the house
- I'm a country girl at heart (the US bit in me) and I just love country music, the hats the boots and the good old-fashioned values - yeeha!
- I dream of going back to Africa one day, and spend some time there and one day taking photographs like Nick Brandt (handsdown the best wildlife photographer)
