A Prelude to a special event

I got to photograph this beautiful family on the weekend as a 'mini' client session before their special event in December.   The beach conditions were 'so-so', plenty of wind and flies, but the sky was it's typical West Australian blue - nowhere else in the world is it this blue.  The family are gorgeous, and I get to shoot them again in December for little Miss E's christening.  Thank you for a lovely morning!

Life on an Alpaca Farm

Myself and my lovely family got the opportunity to stay at some dear friends' parents' farm down in Busselton - and it was gorgeous.   The entire family seem so typical of what Australian country people are - warm, welcoming, hard working and full of good advice!  Pigeon Grove Farm is a mid-19th century homestead and has the most wonderful character.  There is an abandoned 1920's car, an old tractor, gnarly old trees and alpacas.  Wendy is a serious breeder, and her 'boys & girls' are gorgeous and  Kevin's vegetable patch is enviable (and so are the gardens).  It was a lovely quick trip and we can't wait to maybe visit them next year.

Love + Family

One thing I have always loved about my job is meeting people, admittedly in my previous job - they weren't always the nicest people (but you get that!).  Anyway, when I think of this family I think of love, togetherness and laughter.  The kids were open, friendly and fun - but they also really to have a wonderful bond and actually love each other!.  They are all from Zimbabwe and you can tell - down to earth, beautiful open friendly manners and that gorgeous accent that I miss so much.  Thank you, Fiona for letting me photograph your beautiful family, and next time your oldest is in town - I would happily photograph them all again (lets go for something different!)

I'm going to throw one in of the parents, because one of their daughter's live in the Eastern States, and I'm positive she will love to see one of them!

Now for the oldest - she is so beautiful, friendly and elegant.  Her eyes just blew me away.  I think I could photograph her over and over again!

Then her sister, who had had a huge 21st Birthday party the night before and had only gone to bed at 3 a.m.!  She was another photographer's dream - the hair, the eyes and her beautiful face.

Lastly, was these two girls gorgeous spunky brother.  They gave him heaps whilst I photographed him, and you can see that he responded to them so well.  Again this family has the most amazing eyes, and I would love to photograph this kid as well.

The next exercise was great fun, they all decided to absolute fun with it, and so we got some great photos. 

Well that was about the end of this post, when I suddenly remembered one more picture that I took.  I had been lining up this family as a family photo, when I saw how the older sister had positioned herself, and I instantly saw the most beautiful picture unfold, and it would probably be my favorite of the whole session.  These two girls are timeless beauties with an incredible amount of elegance for two so young.  Thank you again to all of you for being great sports - it was a great shoot.

Wow this was a massive post, and I loved going through these pictures.  Next is the Boyzone family - out of 10 there were only three girls!
