{The second day of Autumn, my favorite season}

It happens quietly when you're not looking, the colours quietly begin to change, a leaf gently falls off my tree near my study window, and the air is cooler and clearer - Autumn is finally here.



Even my girls love this weather.  We sleep better, we have more hay fever :( and there is so much more to do in this weather - like visit locations!

My oldest has decided to start a blog and photograph:



Of course, here I wax on about cooler weather and it's going to be 38 degrees Celsius by Friday!

{Whoa}

I love seeing my images in print - it feels like the old days, when everything was printed and nothing was on a computer.  Today, I had one of those 'whoa' moments when I picked up a client's order which consisted of a huge Canvas print and a few other prints to go with it.  I truly believe that images are at thier best being printed BIG.  This canvas is a 20"x30" and it was stunning.

 

 
These were taken on a new Family Fun Session, that I will be shortly announcing. Give me a week and it will be ready to announce, and I will write all about it!

{Re-visit with Jackson}

If you read my blog, then you might remember this little boy's birthday party in September.  I got to re-visit him and his family for a small mini-session, and he's grown up so much!  His hair is absolutely adorable.

{A New Year and a new Concept for Krystal McGee Photography}

Well as many of you know, I love both weddings and children photography.  Probably equally as much.  Weddings are addictive - you have the combination of the excitement of a big event - all the nerves, happiness and romance.  Then you've got flowers, rings, dressess, table decoration, location and it goes on and on.  I love it.  Then on the other hand you have the innocence and beauty of a child.  I love a child just looking straight at my lens, with no smile, eyes wide showing a pure innocence.  Ok - you've got the picture, I love photographing people.

Where have I been?

I have been very slack in posting for a very good reason.  Two weeks ago, I was asked to do some pictures for a dance studio which then needed a turn around time of a week!  So I have been "hoofing" it and getting it done.  As they are all darling girls, and I can't really show thier faces, I thought I'd post some of the gorgeous details of the dancing.

I love my work

There are times, when I just absolutely adore my work, and creating these images was one of these times!

I know, I know it's been a while again since I photographed boys!!!

A Birthday Celebration!

I got to photograph another gorgeous little boy, who turned 1 years old.  Such a special age, no longer an infant and moving onto toddler - fast.  His birthday party had such gorgeous, special details to make it absolutely fantastic, and you could see that the family had worked hard to bring it all together.  Despite the weather, it was a lovely party - made even better by the wonderful face painter Rosie O who showed skill in painting a large majority of guests.  She was fab, and I would recommend her to any party (adult or kids!)

I love how he's propping up his chin - and would you look at all his lovely bracelets!  He's got some growing to do!

This is my favorite.  Look how he tucks his hand in, and how close his parents are.

A beautiful new life

Is there anything more special or precious than a new baby?  How lucky am I to be able to hold and photograph such a beautiful little person?

What do you think of this little one?  This is just the beginning of a sneak peak of JJ - a darling 12 day old boy.

Once he was settled, we could do practically anything with him - in fact he slept in the minature wine barrel for at least 40 minutes!

Look out for some more sneak peaks in the next few days.  Thank you to his parents for being so patient and wonderful for this shoot - you are very blessed.

What is it about me and Tutu's?

This is the daughter & son of one of my lovely photographer friends, who is a fabulous photographer (so no pressure there at all!).  They are equally gorgeous children.  Of course little Miss E had a gorgeous pink tutu on, and looked girlish and adorable and hunky Mr T had a fighter pilot outfit on, and as his mother has described him "a real bloke".
